Sport in Spain

So I just got back from an epic drive to the Red Centre of Australia, and was in England for a few days to Party..  As soon as I arrived I was off again and in my other Red Toyota.

After the winter in Aus as usual I had too many pizzas and beer, and looked like a baby seal,, the fat man was well and truly back…

I had a few days in Font bouldering.  It was great to be getting back into it.  I have spent a lot of time in Font, and it was great getting on old projects.  France was then plagued by bad weather, and I was joined by my mate Jack Griffiths.  We immediately drove down to southern France but it seemed like the weather was just following us, and it was decided to head down to Spain.

I have only been to Riglos 8 months previously, and never sport climbed in Spain so was psyched.  We went to Siurana First.  It was incredible, and totally changed my life schedule.  A trip to Spain is a must each year.  It just has so much incredible hard climbing, it is like the Indian Creek of crack.  The only thing with Spain is that everyone is a complete Wodd..  Which is awesome, but when a grandma crushes past you on a warm up that is harder than your limit, you do consider changing to another sport..

After 3 days of savage pump there we headed down to join some Friends in Chulilla for a week.  This area is relatively untouched, and less traveled with some loose blocks, but amazing potential, and incredibly we were often the only people at the crag.  The training was perfect for me, and every day felt better and better.  Every day thinking of my goal, Freerider.  It is all I can think about, it cant come soon enough, but how to get strong enough.  I need more time..

It was great climbing with Jack and Alec they were wodding up everything, which was a great opportunity for me to get on some hard stuff.  I had forgotten so much about climbing, and it was great to start to flow again and read the rock ahead of you.

It seems like I only just left, and am back in England, but feel stronger and even more psyched for the States.
